Rajasthan University’s Design Center gets a grant of Rs 10 crore from UGC. Jaipur News – Times of India

Jaipur: The Design Innovation Center (DIC) of Rajasthan University, which was set up in 2016, has been given an extension of five years by Ministry of Education Also a grant of Rs 10 crore in two phases.
DIC was established by the Central Government in Rajasthan Rajasthan University Center for Converging Technologies. It aims to spread design education among the students thereby inculcating design culture and design thinking and promoting innovation among the students as well as the common man.
Vice Chancellor Rajiv Jain said, “We are glad that the DIC has been extended till 2026 and with time, it will be on a self-sustaining basis. We already have an ecosystem and we are confident that the faculty members and students will be supported by the DIC. Will take advantage of the framework provided.”
The main objective of the center is Food Designing, Computer Assisted Drug Designing, Product Design of different types of coatings etc.
