Kota: Five couples of the same family and their three minor children died on the spot when an uncontrolled dumper truck sleeping on a cot outside a kutcha house rammed into it. Ghorakhal The intervening night of Wednesday to Thursday under Mandawar police station of Jhalawar district.
The police took the accused dumper driver into custody on Thursday morning and seized his vehicle. They handed over the bodies to their family members after the postmortem later in the day.
The deceased have been identified as Suresh Bhil (44), a daily wage labourer, his wife. Sitabai (40) and their three children Nirmala (11), Pawan,
(7) and Kamlesh (5). Suresh was a resident of a village under Ghatoli police station area of ​​the district and was living in Ghorakhal for the last five years.
“The seven-member family was sleeping on the roadside outside their Ghorakhal house due to the heat and humidity. Around 12.30 am on Thursday, an uncontrolled dumper truck rammed them and crushed the couple and their three children, killing them on the spot. Two other children of the couple were sleeping at a distance, so they got injured,” said Mandawar police officer Brijraj Singh He said that further investigation in the matter is on.
