Rajasthan: Special trains added for festive season | Jaipur News – Times of India

Jaipur : Period of operation of 24 trains for the convenience of passengers during festivals North Western Railway has been extended. Apart from this, additional coaches have been added in 52 pairs of trains, which will make it easier for the passengers to travel. In addition, six special trains has been launched during the festive season
Along with this, keeping in mind the passenger load, six special trains are being operated. These trains include Ajmer-Bandra Terminus-Ajmer, Jodhpur-Bandra Terminus-Jodhpur, Bikaner-Bandra Terminus-Bikaner, Udaipur Sh-Kishanganj-Udaipur, Pune-Bhagat Ki Kothi-Pune and Okha-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Okha.
Passenger load is being reviewed regularly by Railways to operate special trains and add additional coaches as per requirement. Every Mail Express and Passenger train seats an average of 1,000 passengers.
Jaipur Railway Division conducted intensive ticket checking in October and as part of this campaign, a total of 31,827 persons were punished for traveling with unauthorized tickets or unbooked baggage in Jaipur Railway Division. Apart from normal checking in trains, ticket checking was also done by fortification at stations from time to time and in these cases a fine of Rs 1,55,31,246 and extra fare was charged.
Apart from unauthorized ticketing or unbooked luggage in ticket checking, Railways also earned revenue in cases of conversion of tickets to higher class without penalty. In October, Jaipur Railway Division earned Rs 4,74,770 from 2,909 such cases.
