Maximum temperatures were above normal (5.1 degree Celsius or more) at many places in Punjab and East Rajasthan in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Assam and Meghalaya. At some places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh and at isolated places over Saurashtra, Kutch and West Madhya Pradesh.

Maximum temperatures were significantly above normal (3.1°C to 5°C) at most places in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Gujarat and Vidarbha, above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places in Chhattisgarh, Telangana Celsius) was higher. and at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Rayalaseema, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe.

The IMD also said, under the influence of a fresh Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of scattered rainfall over the Western Himalayan region till March 21, accompanied by thunder/lightning on March 19 and 20. There is a possibility of isolated hailstorm in Uttarakhand on Saturday.
