Jaipur: Governor Kalraj MishraCoffee Table’s biography, ‘Kalraj Mishra: Nimit Matra Hoon Main’, got into yet another controversy after its release at Raj Bhavan. The book has a detailed account of Mishra’s association with the BJPRSS and appeals to the people to join BJP For a better India.
Even as the governor is being accused of using the Raj Bhavan to promote a political party, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and speaker CP Joshi There has been criticism for releasing the book jointly with Mishra.

The material which gave rise to a major controversy is in the form of party poster on page number 116. Prime Minister Narendra in the poster Modi On the left and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the right, with a message read, “Let’s support the movement to build a New India. Join the party and strengthen our hands in this mission. Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” .
The effects of the opening chapter of the book are related to RSS and its leader at that. Page 17 of the book mentions that Mishra was greatly influenced by RSS ideologue Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar as a child. The book says, “Mishra has credited Guruji (Golwalkar) for shaping his life till date.” The next page has a picture of Mishra greeting current RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Saying that the RSS is trained and disciplined like the armed forces, the author quotes the former Supreme court Judge KT Thomas, “After the Constitution and the Indian Army, only the RSS is capable of protecting the nation.” The book also talks about ‘Hindutva: A Lifestyle (A Way of Life)’ in a nutshell. Mishra is quoted as boasting about Hindutva which can accommodate every form of life.
The book’s researcher Sujata Taknet told TOI that she had proposed the idea about the book to Mishra during the first lockdown last year, given his versatile personality – political and social activist, economist and administrator. This visually overwhelming book contains more than 500 photographs collected from several libraries, which have been facilitated by the Governor’s House for the said purpose.
The biography was prepared 3-4 months back and the e-copy of the book was sent to PM Modi, all cabinet ministers, opposition leaders and bureaucrats. The foreword of the book has been written by PM Modi. Those who commented on the book include former PM Manmohan Singh, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Dhirendra Pal Singh (UGC, President), Rajiv Kumar (Vice President). Niti Ayog) Also, the book uses famous artist MF Hussain’s painting in violation of copyright, no credit has been given to him.
Responding to the controversy, Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that he did not see any dispute in this matter nor between the two. Congress and BJP. “On a positive note, everyone has to accept whether you become PM, CM or governor, it is because of your party. Mishra has had an association with the RSS and the BJP and its mention in the biography is the most obvious thing,” said the minister, who defended the release of the book by the CM. He said, “Gehlot went for the release of the biography and it is not necessary that one should know the material.”
