The Gujjar community in Rajasthan was distressed by the demolition of the boundary wall of the Devnarayan temple.

BJP Rajasthan unit president Satish Poonia on Tuesday targeted the Congress-led state government over the demolition of the boundary wall of a temple on Monday night.

The appeasement politics of the Congress government is at its peak… The incident of demolition of the wall of Lord Devnarayanji’s temple in Ajmer is unfortunate. I strongly condemn this, the behavior of the police is condemnable.”

“How many times will the faith of the public be attacked? How many times will Hindu temples be demolished? (Ashok) The Gehlot government should listen with open ears that this era neither belongs to Babur nor Aurangzeb. If the damage done to the temple of Lord Devnarayan is not resolved immediately, the government will have to bear a lot.

The Gujjar community in Rajasthan was distressed over the demolition of the boundary wall of the Devnarayan temple.

People of Gurjar community have been protesting outside the temple since Monday night. At the same time, during the mahapanchayat on Tuesday morning, some youths later blocked the road. Seeing the fierce demonstration, the police stopped the traffic.

On Monday night at around 11.30 pm, the Public Works Department broke the boundary wall of the temple, calling it an encroachment.

It is being claimed that this temple is 200 years old.

Later it was decided to call a mahapanchayat. The crowd also tried to block the road in the night but the police had cleared the way after persuasion. People allege that the boundary wall of the temple was broken to hurt the sentiments of Gurjars.
