Jaisalmer/Jaipur : Fifteen coaches of a goods train carrying limestone from Sonu Railway Station of Jaisalmer to Durgapura Steel Exchange Yard West Bengal derailed between Thaiyat Hamira and Jetha Chandan railway station on Tuesday morning.
Limestone is scattered all over the area, while tracks have also been damaged. The incident took place 45 km from Jaisalmer. Railway Jodhpur Mandal’s DRM Geetika Pandey has confirmed the incident.
from QRT Jodhpur Railway department has rushed to the spot for more details while officials have also reached the accident spot.
Jodhpur DRM Geetika Pandey have also left for the spot.
Railways has ordered an inquiry into the incident. Rail traffic was disrupted between Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, while eight trains were cancelled.
