Raj & DK are yet to comment on Stree 2’s box office success.
Raj & DK were the writers of Stree. The duo, before their fallout with Dinesh Vijan, had mentioned they planned to write Stree 2 and Stree 3.
Director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., best known as Raj & DK, shared a cryptic post amid Stree 2’s box office success. The directors were the orginal writers of the Stree universe. However, due to a fallout with Dinesh Vijan, the duo disassociate themselves with the Stree franchise. Dinesh and director duo resolved their issues last year, and Stree 2 also credited Raj & DK for their establishing work.
While Raj & DK have not commented on the film’s release, they shared a cryptic post on the day Stree 2 release. The duo shared a post which read, “Create. Rinse. Create.” They limited the comments section. It is unclear if the post is directly related to Stree 2 but fans did notice that it was shared on the same day as the film hit cinemas. About Raj & DK’s Fallout With Dinesh Vijan:
For the unversed, Raj & DK had plans of not only penning Stree 2 but also Stree 3. However, they had a fallout with producer Dinesh Vijan after the box office success of Stree. It was widely reported that the director duo was upset with Dinesh allegedly because he did not pay them their dues. According to a Times of India report, it was claimed that Raj & DK were producing the film when Dinesh approached them to co-produce the project with them. Dinesh and Raj & DK were the 50-50 partners on Stree’s profit. However, when the profits came in, Raj & DK were allegedly not paid Rs 20 Cr of the amount.
The fallout not only led to their exit from Stree 2 and Dinesh pulling out from Go Goa Gone 2 as well. Last year, speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Dinesh confirmed that they have resolved their issues. However, he did not weigh in on possible collaboration between the trio.
Stree 2 Box Office Collection:
As per early estimates, Stree 2 has collected Rs 135.7 Cr by the end of its third day in the cinemas. According to Sacnilk.com, the film witnessed a massive jump on Saturday as compared to Friday’s collection. It is reported that Stree 2 earned an estimate of Rs 44 Cr on Saturday alone. On Friday, Stree 2 recorded a box office collection of Rs 31.4 Cr.
