Actress Loulou Taylor was attacked six times by a seal in a terrifying ordeal she likened to a scene from ‘Jaws’. The ‘Raised By Wolves’ actress was bitten by an animal while swimming in the sea in Cape Town, South Africa, reports mirror.co.uk. The seal was first seen in shallow water before being captured by a young boy. It could be seen entering the water before making way for the youngster.
Before Lulu could turn, beach goers rushed to her rescue. The horrifying moment was captured by an eyewitness on camera. The seal bites the youngster’s heel when he tries to escape before the waves attack him.
Several people were seen pushing the seal pups away before the boy was pulled from the sea. The animal then swam directly towards Lulu, who was further out on her own in the ocean. He let out a scream while trying to fight off the animal.
Several people rushed to its aid before one man grabbed the animal and tossed it back into the sea as soon as it emerged from the water.
Lulu said on Instagram that she was bitten six times and had to go to the hospital for treatment. She also included an image of a ‘Jaws’ poster with the great white shark replaced by a seal. She said the increase in seal attacks is attributed to algae blooms that release neurotoxins. The actress explained that it was “more than likely global warming/water pollution”.
According to reports, two people were treated for bite wounds after the seal attack.
