Many streets and roads have been submerged due to the rains. The situation is that knee-deep water has accumulated in homes and restaurants. Even cars are seen floating in many places.

Rain has engulfed many places like Vanasthalipuram, Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar, Chaitanyapuri, Saroor Nagar, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Panjagutta and Khairatabad. Due to this people are finding it very difficult to cross the road. During this, two people were washed away due to the water in the drain.

Eight flights were diverted
In low-lying areas, the maximum damage has been caused due to rain water entering the houses. Many shops have also been flooded due to which business has come to a standstill. Eight flights have been diverted from Hyderabad airport due to bad weather.

Director of Hyderabad Meteorological Department said, “Light to moderate rain is likely in some districts of Telangana including Hyderabad during the next 24 hours. The Director of Enforcement, Vigilance and Disaster Management has issued an alert for Hyderabad after heavy rains.
