Rain in parts of Punjab, Haryana | Chandigarh News – Times of India

Chandigarh: Rain ravaged many parts of Punjab And Haryana Provided much-needed respite to the people from the hot and humid weather on Saturday.
After the rain, the maximum temperature fell several degrees below normal weather department said here.
However, due to the rain, water logging occurred at some places, causing inconvenience to the people.
Chandigarh, the shared capital of both the states, recorded a low of 26.7 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal. The city received 20.8 mm of rain.
Haryana, Ambala, Hisar And Karnal According to a media bulletin of the Meteorological Department here, the maximum temperatures were recorded at 27.1, 29 and 26.4 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal.
Ambala and Karnal received 17 and 27.4 mm of rain, respectively.
Narnaul, Rohtak and Gurgaon recorded maximum temperatures of 29.2, 27.7 and 31.4 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal. Rohtak and Gurgaon received 24 and 5 mm of rain, respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Bathinda recorded maximum temperatures of 31.4, 28.2 and 27 degrees Celsius, six notches below normal. Patiala received 13 mm of rain.
The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the next 24 hours.
