Rain continues to wreak havoc across the country. Due to heavy rains from Uttarakhand to Kerala, people are facing a lot of problems. Many lives have been put in danger due to floods and landslides. Meanwhile, a video has surfaced from Badrinath National Highway in Uttarakhand.

On Monday evening, a car stuck in the overflowing Lambagad drain near the highway was pulled out with the help of a crane. Passengers were also in the car. Due to landslide, the car got stuck due to stones in the drain. It was rescued by the Border Roads Organization. At the same time, due to the strong flow of water in the Chalthi river in Champawat, Uttarakhand, the under-construction bridge collapsed.

It has been raining heavily in the state for three days. In this, five people including three laborers from Nepal have died, while two people have been injured. The Uttarakhand government has also stopped the Chardham Yatra till the weather improves. The movement of vehicles going towards the temples of Himalayas has also been stopped. There are reports of cloudburst in Ramgarh village of Nainital district. Here the Nainital lake is flowing above its level. The water of the lake has come on the roads and is entering the houses and buildings.

Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar said that due to water-logging of Kosi river at Lemon Tree Resort on Ramnagar-Ranikhet route, the road to and from here was closed. Around 100 people were trapped in the resort. All are safe and work is on to rescue them.

Bridge cracked in Haldwani
The bridge over the Gaula river in Haldwani cracked due to rain. There was a pit in the middle of the bridge. People standing at one end of the bridge alerted the bike rider coming from the other end. Then the motorcyclist turned back.

Between October 12 and 18, 38 people have lost their lives in floods and landslides, while 90 houses have been completely destroyed. 702 houses have also been damaged. A large number of people have become homeless in this rain. Two gates of the Idamalayar dam in Ernakulam district were opened at 6 am on Tuesday after the water level in the dams increased.
