Railways to run special trains to meet Chhath Puja rush

Train number 08611 Ranchi-Lucknow Utsav special train will leave from Ranchi on November 2.

Special trains will be operated for Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Indian Rail To meet the rush ahead of Chhath Puja, some more special trains have been announced for Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar. Thousands of people have booked tickets to meet their friends and family this festive season, but there are many who are unable to book tickets due to high demand.

Indian Railways recently announced to operate a festival special train between Ranchi and Lucknow, the capital of Jharkhand. The operation of the train will start from November 2.

Train No. 08611 Ranchi-Lucknow Utsav Special train will depart from Ranchi on 2nd November. During the journey, the train will stop at Ramgarh Cantt, Barkakana, Khalari, Daltonganj and Garhwa. This train will also stop at many major stations of Bihar including Gaya. Train No. 08612 Lucknow-Ranchi Utsav Special train will depart from Lucknow on 4th November.

A senior Indian Railways official said, “The train will especially benefit those who have got their cards approved at the last minute.

In view of the rush of passengers, Indian Railways has announced to run a festival special train from Durg in Chhattisgarh to Patna. Chhath Puja special train will start its journey from Durg to Patna via Ranchi and Chakradharpur in Jharkhand.

Durg-Patna Utsav Special train will start its journey on 7th November at 8:50 am and will reach Patna the next day. The returning train will start its journey on November 8 at 7 am.

Indian Railways is also gearing up to operate the high speed train Vande Bharat Express between Ranchi and Howrah. According to the claims of Indian Railways, the distance between Ranchi and Howrah will be covered in five hours. The average speed of Vande Bharat is 160 km/h.
