The train on Garvi Gujarat tour will leave from Safdarjung station in Delhi on February 28.
“This train journey has been designed on the lines of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ scheme to showcase the heritage of vibrant Gujarat,” according to a Railway Ministry statement.
The state-of-the-art Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train with First AC and Second AC classes will be operated for an eight-day all-inclusive tour.
The train will have four First AC coaches, two Second AC coaches, a well-equipped pantry car and two rail restaurants.
It can seat 156 tourists.
The tour will include visits to major pilgrimage and heritage sites of Gujarat such as Statue of Unity, Champaner, Somnath, Dwarka, Nageshwar, Bet Dwarka, Ahmedabad, Modhera and Patan.
Tourists can also board or deboard the train from Gurugram, Rewari, Ringas, Phulera and Ajmer railway stations.
Railways said that the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has tied up with a payment gateway to provide EMI payment options to customers.
