New Delhi. Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav has given an indication of the change in the work culture of the Railways. In the meeting of all the Zonal Managers and Divisional Railway Managers, the Railway Minister has shown strictness and warned to adopt an honest attitude. Therefore, careless and wavering people should be careful because doing so for the next three years may cost them dearly.

Along with this, the minister has also prepared a road map for the railway officials in the coming time. It is believed that now the officers will look like business development officers in their respective divisions. Government bureaucracy will not work and they will have to be seen working like private companies and marketing companies. It is believed that in the road map prepared by the Railway Minister, the road map from Railway Board to Division has been drawn. Work has started on this and the Ministry of Railways is planning to change the work culture of more than 13 lakh employees. Although the Railway Minister is also admitting that this is a challenge, but work has started in this direction.

General coach will also get the facility, there is no compromise on the safety of railway passengers

In his address, the Railway Minister has made it clear to the officials that the priority of the government is to provide facilities to the railway passengers to every passenger. Passengers traveling in general coaches will also be included in this and they should also be considered entitled to better and world class facilities. Accordingly, the railway officials should prepare to execute their plan. Ashwani Vaishnav said that no compromise can be made with the safety of railway passengers. Therefore, in the meeting, all the General Managers and DRMs were instructed in this matter that the mistake can be accepted, but strict action is set against the railway employees and officers who are willfully negligent. Railways will have to be ready for major changes and the target is to ensure that in the next three years, there is no further problem for any former railway employee in getting pension.

Railways currently have 18 lakh pensioners. This is the reason that the entire emphasis of the Railway Minister is on increasing the income. He wants the officers to change the way they work on the lines of a corporate company and look for new sources of revenue. In the meeting of officials across the country, the Railways has done a complete mapping to increase the income from freight transportation. It was also decided in the meeting that in the coming days, the railways will have to increase the freight traffic by conducting survey in every district of the country on a large scale to increase its income.
