NIA officers along with Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF are conducting searches at the houses of Jamaat-e-Islami members.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at about 45 places in 14 districts of Jammu and Kashmir today in connection with the terror funding case. These districts also include Srinagar, Pulwama, Kupwara, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Anantnag, Budgam, Rajouri and Shopian.

NIA officers along with Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF are conducting searches at the houses of Jamaat-e-Islami members. Due to the pro-Pakistan and separatist policies of this organization, it was banned by the central government in 2019. Despite this, this organization is working in Jammu and Kashmir.

On July 10, the NIA had arrested 6 people in Jammu and Kashmir in the terror funding case. A day before this raid, 11 employees of the Jammu and Kashmir government were dismissed from their jobs for having terrorist connections. Two of the accused were sons of Hizbul-Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin.

Four alleged terrorists accused of taking funds from Pakistan
Evidence was found against four alleged Hizbul-Mujahideen terrorists that they had taken money from Pakistan to carry out terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. A Delhi court had ordered framing of charges against him in this case.

The court has ordered criminal conspiracy, waging war against the country and several charges under UAPA on these four alleged terrorists. The court had said that Hizbul-Mujahideen had formed a fake organization named Jammu and Kashmir Affectives Relief Trust (JKART). Its real purpose was to fund terrorist activities. Money is given to terrorists and their families from this trust.
