Singer Rahul Vaidya turns a year older today (23 September). The singer rose to fame from Indian Idol Season 1 and gained immense popularity with her participation in Bigg Boss 14. He is currently appearing in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11, where he is among the top five finalists.
Rahul said, ‘I go by heart. People go with their mind. I do every show that I do with all my heart. And, so I have a great time. And I am glad that people showered me so much love during both the reality shows Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. I am very happy.”
The singer, who has become a household name, said that he is getting offers to star in television shows. He was recently approached for two big television shows. “I have been offered the lead role in two very big television shows to come. But my life is already full of commitments with music. And I guess I am not programmed to do television, wake up everyday and leave home at 7.30 am and come back at 9.30 pm. My hands are already full of music and I am very happy with it. However, I am fine with doing a web series with 30-45 days of shooting. And, it’s something I can still adjust to,” he said.
After shooting Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 in Cape Town, the singer returned to Mumbai and married his friend and actress Disha Parmar, whom he proposed to in Bigg Boss 14.
He said, ‘Disha has married more shows (Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2) than me. She spends more time with the show than me (laughs). When two like-minded people get married, it becomes a lot easier. We keep in touch through calls and video calls when she leaves the house. And then, whenever we get free time, we spend time with each other.”
The singer celebrated his 33rd birthday in Maldives with his wife. He had shared, “We are from Maldives. It’s our honeymoon-come-birthday.”
