Indian fashion designers Rahul Mishra, Gaurav Gupta and Vaishali Shadangule, whose designs are renowned across the globe, will showcase their designs at Paris Haute Couture Week Spring/Summer 2023 from January 23-26.
Paris Haute Couture Week Spring/Summer 2023 is back! And this year, three of India’s best fashion designers – Rahul Mishra, Gaurav Gupta and Vaishali Shadangule will represent the country at the Fashion Week in Paris, France.
The Couture Fashion Week, which begins today, has an impressive line-up of designers from across the globe. While Rahul Mishra and Vaishali Shadangule have showcased their respective collections in the past, this year will mark the debut of Gaurav Gupta at Paris Haute Couture Week.
A great way to kickstart 2023 on a fashionable note, here’s a look at what the three star designers have in store for Paris Haute Couture Week Spring-Summer 2023 and where you can watch their shows live.
Rahul Mishra, 23 January
The fashion connoisseur who has left a mark on the French since last 8 years, Rahul Mishra will be showcasing his collection COSMOS on January 23, 2023. from all over the world. Known for his love for nature-inspired designs, COSMOS feels like Rahul’s way of reaching for the stars. Well, the sky’s the limit and Rahul’s showcase begins today at 9 PM (IST). The show will be livestreamed and you can watch it live from www.rahulmishra.in and hautecouture.fhcm.paris.
Vaishali Shadangule, 24 January
Designer, Vaishali Shadangule will be showcasing her couture collection at Paris Haute Couture Week 2023 for the third time. Vaishali has proudly taken the rich handwoven fabric of India combined with her conceptual design language and showcased it on an international platform. This year, the couture collection titled Abyss will seamlessly blend traditional weaves and techniques with dramatic silhouettes. True to the designer’s artistic interpretation of the abyss, the garments that make up the collection are flowy, yet constructed to create unconventional silhouettes. The showcase will take place at 10 pm (IST) at the Carrousel du Louvre under the iconic Paris landmark, La Pyramide Inversi Skylight, and can be viewed online on the designer’s Instagram account @vaishalsstudio.
Gaurav Gupta, 26 January
In his own world of Indian textiles, Gaurav Gupta’s designs have made a global impact. Ranging from apparel from international music artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Lizzo, Kylie Minogue to name a few. To mark his debut at Paris Haute Couture Week 2023, Gaurav Gupta will present his couture collection Shunya. Gaurav, who had announced his engagement in December 2022, took to Instagram and shared his joy, writing: On behalf of Team Gaurav Gupta, I am proud to announce that we are honored by the esteemed Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode to perform as a guest member at the prestigious Haute Couture Week in Paris. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and joy, and it is indeed a pleasure for us to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. (Like this). Gaurav Gupta’s showcase will be at 8:30 PM (IST).
