BJP President JP Nadda on Tuesday targeted senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi For tweeting family photos of a nine-year-old Dalit girl who was allegedly raped and murdered in Delhi and said such issues should not be politicized for political interests. The BJP also demanded that Twitter should close Gandhi’s account again as the victim’s family has denied his claim that they had taken his consent before posting the pictures.
“Rahul Gandhi has lost credibility and is a habitual liar. The public has closed his political account, now Twitter should also close his account,” said party spokesperson Sambit Patra. Speaking at the virtual inauguration of the BJP office in Kozhikode, Kerala, Nadda said, “Rahul Gandhi’s political tourism is happening here in Kerala as well. He was defeated in Amethi, so he fled to Wayanad. Referring to Gandhi, the BJP president said that changing the states does not change one’s behavior pattern, intention and attitude of serving the people.
Nadda also took a jibe at the LDF government in Kerala over the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state, saying on an average around 20,000 cases are being reported in the state. Presently, Kerala has 1.08 lakh cases and is contributing about 50 per cent to the total burden of COVID-19 cases in the country. “This is gross management. It is a model of mismanagement,” he said.
