Rahul Gandhi Getting Married? Leader Hints On Wedding

During a public gathering in his Lok Sabha constituency of Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi responded humorously to inquiries about his marital status. When asked about marriage by the audience, the 53-year-old leader quipped, “Now, I will have to get married soon.” This light-hearted remark added a touch of humor to the event and sparked speculation about his personal life.

Last year, during an interaction with women students at Jaipur’s Maharani College, Rahul Gandhi, the Congress MP, revealed the reason behind his decision not to get married. This disclosure provided insight into his personal life and sparked curiosity among the public about his perspectives on marriage and relationships.

During the interaction, when a student queried why he hadn’t considered marriage despite being smart and good-looking, Rahul Gandhi responded by stating that his full dedication to his work and the Congress party left no room for marriage.

On May 3, the Congress party announced Rahul Gandhi as a candidate from Raebareli and loyalist KL Sharma from Amethi, effectively sidelining Priyanka Gandhi Vadra from the electoral contest. Rahul Gandhi, who is currently a sitting MP in Kerala’s Wayanad, will be seeking re-election from both Wayanad and Raebareli. Previously, he represented Amethi from 2004 until 2019. In Raebareli, he will face off against Dinesh Pratap Singh, a three-time MLC who defected from the Congress to join the BJP. This sets the stage for an intriguing electoral battle in Raebareli.

The Rae Bareli constituency is scheduled to go to the polls on May 20 in the fifth phase. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi emerged victorious in the constituency, securing 5,34,918 votes. Her closest rival, Dinesh Pratap Singh, posed a significant challenge, garnering 3,67,740 votes. This historical context sets the stage for an anticipated electoral showdown between Rahul Gandhi and Dinesh Pratap Singh in the upcoming polls.
