Rahul Gandhi, contesting elections from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, caused a stir when he made an impromptu visit to a salon there to groom his beard, sparking discussions. Numerous photos capturing Rahul getting his beard groomed surfaced as well. In reality, Rahul Gandhi had just concluded an election meeting in Lalganj when his convoy halted at New Mumba Devi Cutting Salon in Brajendra Nagar. Upon stepping out of his vehicle and entering the modest shop, people present quickly took notice of him.
Mithun, a worker at the shop, groomed Rahul’s beard. Mithun was initially incredulous that the person before him was none other than Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He admitted that he found it hard to believe at first but went ahead and trimmed the Congress leader’s beard. Mithun mentioned that he has been a Congressman since childhood but appeared confused when questioned about voting for Congress.
What Did Mithun Say To Rahul Gandhi On Voting For Congress
When questioned about voting for Congress, Mithun, the barber who grooms Rahul Gandhi’s beard, stated that while he isn’t sure about voting, his support leans towards Congress. Mithun expressed his belief that only a Congress government will come to power in Rae Bareli. Additionally, Mithun disclosed the amount of money Gandhi gave him for grooming his beard. He mentioned that the Congress leader was pleased with his work and gave him Rs 500. Rahul Gandhi also inquired about which beard style would suit him. Mithun suggested beard styles numbered 5-6, but he advised Rahul to opt for style number 1 if asked.
Mithun recounted feeling scared upon suddenly encountering such a prominent leader in his shop. He had no prior knowledge of the Congress leader’s visit; if he had known, he wouldn’t have been able to shave him. Despite his initial apprehension, Mithun gathered courage and shaved Rahul Gandhi, who greatly appreciated the result. Since Rahul got his beard trimmed at his shop, a significant number of customers have been visiting Mithun for beard grooming and haircuts. His friends and acquaintances continued to call him until 3 o’clock in the morning. Mithun shared that while Rahul Gandhi was getting his beard shaved, he also casually inquired about his income. They conversed informally, and after spending around half an hour at the shop, Rahul left.
