Rachel Lindsay Details Being “Scared” and “Weirded Out” by Bryan Abasolo’s Proposal on The Bachelorette – E! Online

She added, “You have this ring on your finger, and there’s this man, and for the first time you ride in the car together, you’re going to the same hotel room together. It’s like, this is the beginning of your new life.”

But Rachel made sure the two didn’t jump straight into marriage, insisting that they first live together and date, which she and Bryan did for two years before tying the knot in August 2019.

“It was great,” she said of that decision. “And I thought, ‘OK I actually have a lot in common with him. We’re really good together and I’m excited about what’s to come.”

And despite the fact that their relationship “ran its course,” she’s grateful for the more than six years she and Bryan, 44, had together.

“I learned a lot,” she said. “I had new experiences. I learned how I am living with somebody, working in a partnership in a way that I hadn’t before.”

Rachel and Bryan announced their split in January, with Bryan writing on Instagram at the time that they had made the “difficult decision” to “part ways and start anew.”
