DU has announced that it will take admission on the basis of 12th merit.

UGC has prepared a revised calendar for 2021-22. The new session in universities across the country will start from October 1. The admission process will run in August-September, although this process has already started in some colleges. After the cancellation of the 12th examination this time due to Corona, the most confusion is on what will be the admission formula in colleges.

Delhi University (DU) has announced that it will take admission on the basis of 12th merit. This time also the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUSAT) is unlikely to be implemented. In such a situation, the first cutoff in DU colleges is expected to remain the same as last year i.e. 2020.

The DU professor associated with the admission process said that the 12th results are being prepared on the basis of the best results of the schools in the last three years. The best results in the last three years i.e. 2018, 2019 and 2020 were in 2020 itself. In this case, the merit structure will be the same as in 2020. So it is expected that DU 1st cutoff will be same as 2020. The process of admission to graduation in DU will start from August 2, registration will be done till August 31. The admission process will be online. There is no change in fees or seats.

This was the situation in 2020

  • 99.75 – Up to 100% cutoff in top colleges for BA Economics Honors and BCom Honors
  • 99% cutoff in BA Honors English at Miranda House
  • 99% cut off was passed for Maths Honors in Hindu College

This time only 10 months college session

  • Colleges should start the admission process after the 12th results of all education boards by July 31.
  • First year admission till 30th September. New session from 1st October. Fill the vacant seats by 31st October.
  • The session is to conclude by July 31, 2022. That is, the session 2021-22 will be of 10 months.
  • If there is a delay in the 12th result, then the new session will start from October 18. Closing will happen only by July 31, 2022.
  • In any case, get the terminal or final examination of the current session 2020-21 done by 31 August.
