Raashi Khanna calls reports of her ‘Bad Mouthing’ South films ‘fabricated’

While people across India have started appreciating the quality of South Indian films, actress Raashi Khanna recently got involved in a controversy for allegedly criticizing South Indian films after appearing in Disney+ Hotstar original Rudra. She was Raashi is paired opposite Ajay Devgn in the hit psychological thriller, a scientific genius and criminal mastermind Dr. Alia was seen playing the role of Choksi. This was the first time that Rashi played the role of an antagonist and she completely mesmerized the audience with her role.

The news of Rashi making controversial statements about the South Indian industry while promoting Rudra hit the internet and people did not like it much. The actress reportedly called out the industry for being sexist and referring to actresses labeled like girls and milky and thinking of them as just glamor faces.

However, Rashi took to Twitter to rubbish these “false reports” and tweeted a text stating that she has “the utmost respect for every language/film”. She suggested that the reports were “fabricated and misunderstood” and pleaded for whoever was responsible to stop it.

The actress had faced a lot of criticism online for her alleged comments, especially from fans of South films. However, the recent clarification tweet has already garnered over 4,500 likes and it looks like the air has been cleared for good.

Some people are still objecting to his antics. A user quoted the explanatory tweet saying, ‘Just one Hindi’ [web] series and you start worrying about the level of south education and crap… Wow! Glad at least those who admired you got to see it [real you],

Meanwhile, on the work front, she will next be seen in a Pakka commercial with Gopichand, which will release on July 1, 2022. Directed by Maruthi Dasari, the Telugu flick falls in the comedy/crime genre. Apart from this, she will be seen in Vikram Kumar directed film Thank You opposite Naga Chaitanya.
