Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, known for its storyline and distinctive music album, has remained a fan favourite since its release 23 years ago.
Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, renowned as a cult classic romance is all set to re-release. Much to the delight of the fans, the 2001 film starring R Madhavan, Dia Mirza and Saif Ali Khan is ready to spread its magic in theatres once again. The makers have planned to release it on August 30. The film, known for its old-school romance and distinctive music album, has remained a fan favourite since its release years ago.
Pooja Entertainment has announced that the film will be re-released for one week in select PVR and Inox theatres. Sharing the exciting news, the makers wrote, “23 years later, love finds its way back to the big screen. Relive the magic of timeless romance with #RehnaaHaiTerreDilMein! Re-Releasing in Cinemas THIS FRIDAY 30th August 2024! Are you excited?” Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon was a remake of the Tamil film Minnale, which was also released the same year and starred R Madhavan.
Pooja Entertainment’s Jackky Bhagnani is also quite excited about the re-release of this timeless film. He said, “This film holds a very special place in my heart, as it was my first project as an Assistant Director. I was quite young at the time, and being part of the AD team gave me the incredible opportunity to work closely with Maddy, Saif, and Dia on set. It was truly inspiring to witness such talented performers in action and to be part of what would become a cult classic,” as quoted by Money Control.
He added that even today, the film retains tremendous popularity among the youth, with its wonderful songs that continue to sound fresh and intriguing, and that they were delighted to offer this back to our audiences to enjoy.
Meanwhile, on the work front, R Madhavan was last seen in Shaitaan alongside Ajay Devgn. The film received wonderful reviews from both fans and critics. He will next appear in Shankara and De De Pyaar De 2, alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. Dia Mirza was last seen in Dhak Dhak, which starred Ratna Pathak Shah, Sanjana Sanghi, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Saif Ali Khan will next appear in Siddharth Anand’s Jewel Thief, starring Jaideep Ahalawat and Kunal Kapur. The new film will be available on Netflix later this year. Saif is also preparing for the release of Devara, a Telugu film starring JR NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
