In the first Qualifier on Tuesday evening in Chennai, the duo went all out to provide the team a stellar start, building up the 9th fifty-run partnership for the team.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) openers Ruturaj Giakwad and Devon Conway have been in scintillating form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The pair added 87 runs for the first wicket, before Ruturaj fell victim to Mohit Sharma in 11.th Over of Chennai’s innings.

Ruturaj and Conway have now equaled MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja’s record of most fifty partnerships for Chennai Super Kings. Former CSK openers Murali Vijay and Michael Hussey top the list with 13 50-plus stands, followed by Dhoni-Suresh Raina and Hussey and Raina duo.

Ruturaj scored his 4 runs on Tuesdayth Fifty in this season. He scored 60 runs in 44 balls with the help of one six and seven fours. Earlier, he got a lifeline in the second over when Darshan Nalkande had him caught by Shubman Gill at mid-off but it was an overstepped no-ball.

Earlier, GT won the toss and elected to field against Chennai Super Kings. The winner of the match will directly qualify for the final while the losing team will get another chance to compete in Qualifier 2, which will be held on May 24 in Ahmedabad.
Titans skipper Hardik Pandya said that his team has made one change with Darshan Nalkande in place of Yash Dayal while CSK have remained unchanged.
