Russian President Vladimir Putin won’t attend the state funeral of Japanese former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the Kremlin stated on Monday.
“No, Putin has no plans to go to Japan and attend the funeral,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov instructed reporters, including that Russia was but to determine the nation’s presence on the funeral.
