Pushpa Box Office Collection Day 3: Allu Arjun’s film catches fire, earns Rs 159 crore in first weekend

Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part I’ continues to set the box office on fire, raking in Rs 200 crore in just three days. Currently, the film’s total collection is USD 21 million (Rs 159 crore).

Film trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted the latest box office figures. He wrote, “Pushpa descends into Global Box Office Top 3 for the weekend ending December 19th… A remarkable feat… 1. Spider-Man No Way Home – USD 587 million 2. Sheep Without a Shepherd 2 – USD 54 million 3. Pushpa – USD 21 million.”

Pushpa hit the big screen on 17th December. Despite the release of Spider-Man No Way Home, the film is doing exceptionally well at the box office. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man No Way Home, on the other hand, saw a huge jump in ticket sales and the show started at 4 a.m. to meet the demand. While the first day of its release, 16 December saw huge crowds, the second day (Friday, 17 December) was comparatively bleak as the film received fierce competition from Pushpa. The Sukumar directorial broke the record of Sooryavanshi’s biggest opener this year and collected around Rs 22 crore on Friday.

Meanwhile, Samantha Akkineni has praised Telugu superstar Allu Arjun for his “absolutely stunning” performance in ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part I’. Samantha, who also has a special dance number in the film, took to Instagram to post a ‘praise’ for Allu Arjun.

Helmed by Sukumar, Pushpa also stars Rashmika Mandanna and popular Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil. Actor Sunil, actress Anasuya Bharadwaj and others are also to appear in important roles. The multi-starrer, multilingual film was released in five languages including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
