Puppy missing from car after armed robbery in Wisconsin Dells; ‘Extremely dangerous’ suspects may be in Illinois – Henry Club

Chicago (CBS)- A 16-month-old puppy is missing in Wisconsin after an armed robbery and a series of car break-ins, and police are searching for two suspects linked to Chicago.

CBS 2’s Meredith Barack talks to dog owner who wants his pet back.

“She’s the cutest dog in the world. And she’s our baby girl.”

Craig Knudsen says Mabel had a surprise birthday present for his wife, and since she became a member of their family, the Wisconsin realtor says Mabel hardly left him.

“She accompanies me on appointments and people love her,” Knudsen said.

So it wasn’t out of the ordinary when the dog came over with Craig for a quick trip to Lake Delton Home Depot last Wednesday.

“(I) come out, the back window of my truck is broken. They tried and failed to break the front window. And she left,” Knudsen said.

Lake Dalton Police said two people in this car were behind the crime. They have issued a felony warrant for the arrests of 39-year-old Adam A. Luzano and 41-year-old Javanese Murjan Esteves.

He is also wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a Dales outlet that afternoon. Luzano has a criminal history and is on parole in 2018 from attempted carjacking. In 2015, he served time for an officer’s increased battery.

Knudsen said he doesn’t believe the two have Mabel anymore. Thanks to the many tips she’s already found, she feels like someone bought her and is with that person on Chicago’s West Side.

“I got off the phone with a wonderful young lady who said I think I’ve seen your dog, and so we’re following every possible lead, but we need someone to do the right thing.” ” ,” Knudsen said.

Knudsen said that whoever helps him get Mabel back home will be his hero. The family is offering a $2,000 reward for Mabel’s safe return.

“Please, we’re just begging that whoever has it will consider doing the right thing and return it.”

Several vehicle breakdowns were also reported in a Home Depot parking lot in Wisconsin Dells. One of the vehicles that was vandalized was a Mabel Puppy.

“At this time, there is no trace of the dog. The dog is a 16-month-old Kawapoo,” police said in a written statement.

Mabel is 15-16 pounds and has a green collar with a pink flamingo.

Police said armed suspects also ransacked a work van in the parking lot. The owner of the van confronted the suspects, who pulled out a handcuff while removing equipment and other items from the van.

When police arrived at the scene, the suspects fled on Highway 12 in a blue Ford F-250 truck with a black bag on the driver’s side window. Police said the license plate on the truck, PJ8907, was recently stolen. There’s also a big placard on the back of the truck that says “Fully Insured”.

In at least one earlier incident, police said the suspects’ vehicle matched the description of an armed robbery at a Dales’ outlet.

The Lake Dalton Police Department is investigating and soliciting public assistance in locating Luzano and Esteves. Police say that if anyone is suspicious, do not contact him.

“Luzano has an excellent felony warrant through the Illinois Department of Corrections. In our case the Lake Dalton Police Department was notified a few hours after the suspect vehicle entered Illinois,” Lake Dalton Police said in a Facebook post. said.

Luzano and Esteves are believed to be armed and extremely dangerous.

If you see them, contact the local police immediately.
