Punjab singers Karan Aujla and Harjeet Harman are in trouble. Both of them recently had a song titled Alcohol. In which he compared the woman to alcohol, drugs and guns. Panditrao Dharneshwar, a resident of Chandigarh, heard this song and complained to the Punjab Women’s Commission. The commission has now directed the Commissioner of Police (CP) and SSP of Jalandhar to present both these singers and the owner of the song releasing company Speed Records in the next hearing.

Panditrao Dharneshwar told that in this song of Karan Aujla and Harjeet Harman, women have been compared to weapons along with alcohol and other intoxicants. Some time back, the High Court had banned the singing of such songs while giving a verdict on his petition. After this, he also went to the house of singer Harjit Harman to hold a sit-in in Nabha. He appealed to Harman not to be a part of such a song. He told Harman not to be a part of a song that destroyed Punjabi culture. Despite this, Harman sang this song with Karan Aujla. Against which he sent a complaint to the Women’s Commission.
Police should present all three on September 22: Women’s Commission
The Punjab Women’s Commission, in a direction sent to the Police Commissioner and SSP, said that the Speed Record Company has released the song of Karan Aujla and Harjeet Harman with the title liquor. In which women have been insulted by comparing women with alcohol, drugs and guns. Therefore, Manisha Gulati, chairperson of Punjab State Commission for Women has taken cognizance of it. Therefore, all three have been called for personal hearing on September 22. Therefore, present these three on the scheduled date in the SAS Nagar office of the commission at 12 noon.
