Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that ten hospitals have ordered PSA based oxygen generation plants. He said that three new oxygen plants are being installed in government establishments including Civil Hospital Jalandhar. He said that after the establishment of these new oxygen plants, there would be a huge increase in the medical oxygen production capacity of the district as the minimum and maximum oxygen production capacity of these plants would be in the range of 250 to 750 LPM.
Thori said a massive exercise was started a few months back to increase the oxygen production capacity of the district after facing O2 crisis during the second wave. He said that 11 hospitals have already set up their plants following the appeal of the district administration.
