Punjab sees 30.45 percent increase in stamp duty revenue – Henry Club

The Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Department of Punjab has registered an increase of 30.45 per cent in revenue from registration of sale deeds and stamp duty in April 2022 as compared to the corresponding period last year.

Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Minister Bram Shankar Zimpa said the department has recovered more than Rs 352.62 crore from registration and stamp duty from April 1 to 30 as compared to the same period last year, which was Rs 270.31 crore. . The cabinet minister said that the development has happened due to the citizen centric policies of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Zimpa said that after taking over the government, Mann and Aam Aadmi Party conjunction Arvind Kejriwal He had given a clear message that corruption will not be tolerated at any level at any cost. He said the message was loud and clear which became the basis for increasing the revenue of the government.

The cabinet minister said that the revenue growth recorded during the tenure of this government will be used for the overall development of the state. He said that there are many social welfare schemes in the hands of the state government which will turn the dreams of common people into reality. He assured that there is no place for corruption or any other malpractice in government offices and hassle free services are being provided to the people of Punjab.
