Punjab: Arvind Kejriwal promises free electricity, health services on AAP’s victory

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced that if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) forms the next government in Punjab, it will give free electricity up to 300 units and assure uninterrupted supply. Kejriwal, who is on a two-day visit to Punjab, made six promises to the people of the state and said that free health benefits would be provided to the public in hospitals. He also assured that public hospitals would be upgraded for better treatment.

Addressing the media in Ludhiana, Kejriwal said, “If our government is formed in Punjab, we will give 300 units of electricity free of cost, we have done this in Delhi. We will give 24 hours electricity and have done it in Delhi.” .

“If his party comes to power in the state, all medicines, tests, treatments and operations will be completely free,” he said.

On the name of the chief ministerial candidate for Punjab, Kejriwal said, “I have repeatedly said that when the time comes we will give you a good CM face, it can be anyone. We are not thinking about it right now.” “

Taking a jibe at Congress, he said, “Punjab had formed the Congress government with great expectations. But today they have made fun of the government. Dirty fight is going on for power. All their leaders want to become CM. There is so much.” In this fight that the government has disappeared.”

Asked whether former Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu would join AAP, Kejriwal said, “It is a hypothetical question, if something like this happens we will be the first to tell you.”
