Punjab: Former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal discharged from hospital | Ludhiana News – Times of India

LUDHIANA: Five days after former chief minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patron Parkash Singh Badal was admitted in DMCH after testing Covid positive, he was discharged on Monday.
In the meanwhile, the doctors at the hospital said that his genome sampling report suggested that he was infected by Omicron variant,
On January 19, 94-year-old veteran politician was brought to DMCH during the day after he had covid related symptoms and later he had tested Covid positive.
Dr Bishav Mohan, professor of cardiology at DMCH who was in the team of doctors who treated Badal, said that his condition improved and he was feeling much better so he was discharged from hospital. He added that even his tests were normal and he is in Ludhiana for two days and his medical check up will be done tomorrow or day after.
Dr Bishav Mohan further said that his genome sampling suggested that he was infected with Omicron.
