Chhabba/Ajnala (Amritsar): Workers of Jamhoori Kisan Sabha (JKS) and Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti (KMSC) staged separate protests against PM Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Ferozepur on January 5.

KMSC State General Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the Presidents and Secretaries of 18 regions of KMSC participated in the meeting held at Chhabba on 3rd January. “We devised a strategy to cancel Modi’s January 5 Ferozepur rally,” he said, adding that he was ready to implement his strategy and would not allow Modi to hold political rallies in Punjab unless he brought a law. including not fulfilling their demands. JKS state president Satnam Singh Ajnala said that they protested in Ajnala and also burnt his effigy. He was responsible for the deaths of over 700 farmers during his year-long struggle. They said common people were not. Happy under Modi’s rule.”
KMSC’s state office secretary Gurbachan Singh Chabba said that the Punjab government had canceled his meeting with CM Channi on January 4.
