Punjab Election 2022: US will give example of state schools if AAP comes to power, says Kejriwal

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal said Pathankot and Gurdaspur have the highest number of youths joining the Indian Army and both these districts have the highest number of soldiers martyred for the country.

Addressing the public at the Tiranga Yatra in Pathankot, Kejriwal said schools in Delhi are very famous in America and if the Aam Aadmi Party comes to power in Punjab, people from America, Canada and London will visit the state. Citing the government schools here and their examples.

Speaking further, the Chief Minister of Delhi said that every child born in Punjab will be given good and free education if AAP forms the government. He also promised to persuade all the teachers and professors of the state to solve all the issues related to education. “I promise the people of Punjab that if we come to power, we will build a large number of government schools in the state,” Kejriwal said.

Giving the example of Delhi, Kejriwal said, “If a Delhi jawan dies at the border, we give a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the kin of the martyr. The same compensation will be given to the families of the martyrs from here. We have come to power in Punjab.”

The AAP convener promised that 300 units of free electricity and 24-hour power supply would be provided if his party forms the government in Punjab. He had earlier promised free treatment in government hospitals, medicines and an incentive of Rs 1,000 per month to women.
