Ludhiana gas leak: At least nine people were declared dead and around 11 were admitted to hospital after a gas leak incident inside a factory in Punjab’s Ludhiana today (April 30).
The gas leak incident took place in Giaspura area of Ludhiana. Local administration and medical team have reached the spot. Local officials said that the area has been cordoned off.
NDRF teams along with medical and paramedic teams are on the spot.
Punjab Chief Minister on gas leak tragedy:
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has expressed grief over the gas leak incident in Ludhiana.
SDM Ludhiana West Swati said, “It is a case of gas leak. NDRF team is present at the spot to evacuate people and will carry out rescue operations. Nine people have died and 11 are sick in this incident.”
