The Pune City Police on Friday arrested two persons for the murder of a youth and his father in Lonikand area earlier this week. Police also said that a search is on for seven other accused.
The arrested people have been identified as Prateek Kand (28) and Ashutosh Shinde (32), both residents of Lonikand.
According to police, Prathamesh alias Sunny Shinde (23), his father Kumar Shinde (55) and mother were traveling in a car when the attackers stopped them near a school in Lonikand area at around 6 pm on January 12. .
According to the police, the attackers attacked Sunny over some issue. They also attacked her parents and the driver. Police said Sunny and her father were killed, while her mother and the driver were injured.
The police arrested him after the incident and Shinde’s mother lodged an FIR at the Lonikand police station.
