PUNE: Three people were arrested on Friday for allegedly killing a 36-year-old man over an old dispute. The incident took place late Wednesday night at Kanhewadi near Chakan.
Chakan Police has identified the deceased as Dinesh Behirat, a resident of Kanhewadi. They have arrested all three – Rajesh Yewale (25), Omkar Dhore (23) and Sunny Shinde (21), all from Kanhewadi – under sections 302 (murder) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). .
In this regard, the victim’s friend Mayur Yewale has lodged a complaint with the police. A Chakan police officer said that Dinesh was running an eatery in Chakan.
“He had an old enmity with the suspects.
Dinesh and Rajesh got into an argument over the parking of a car in the middle of the road at around 9 pm on Wednesday night.
“The other two suspects reached there with sharp weapons. Seeing this, the complainant Mayur tried to intervene and both of them attacked him. But he dodges them,” the officer said, adding that Rajesh subdued Dinesh and the two attacked the latter with sharp weapons.
