Pune: A 17-year-old youth from Talegaon DabhadeWas missing since Wednesday evening, was murdered near a private company along the Pune-Mumbai highway.
Pimpri Chinchwad Police said that a youth named Dashant Pardeshi was shot dead by some unknown person. An official of Talegaon Dabhade police station said, “The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.”
He told that the foreigner had left his house at around 6 pm on Wednesday. When he did not return home till late in the night, his parents approached the police and lodged a missing complaint. “His body was found around 12.30 am on Thursday,” the officer said.
He said that the police have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. “Our investigation is on,” the official said.
