bollywood actors Abhishek Bacchan To celebrate her 50 years in Bollywood, she on Saturday shared some old pictures of her mother Jaya Bachchan from her films. Jaya made her acting debut in 1963 as a teenager in Satyajit Ray’s film Mahanagar. However, his first screen role as an adult was in the 1971 film Guddi. Directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and written by Gulzar, Guddi also starred Dharmendra and Utpal Dutt.

Celebrating Jaya Bachchan’s 50 years in cinema, proud son Abhishek wrote, “I am so grateful to be her son and it is a proud moment to see her complete 50 years in the film industry. Happy 50 years of cinema I love you, I love you.” Shweta Bachchan also reacted to the post and said, “Love you.”

Veteran actress and politician Jaya Bachchan has been away from films for some time. He was last seen on the big screen in the 2016 film “Ki & Ka”, where he played himself in a cameo. However, he is all set to make a comeback. The 73-year-old star will be seen in a full feature role in the film. Karan Johar‘s latest-announced film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani”. The film also features Ranveer singh And Alia Bhatt With Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi.

As per the clip shared by the filmmaker, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan will be a part of Ranveer’s family in the film, while Shabana Azmi will be a member of Alia Bhatt’s family.

Abhishek Bachchan, on the other hand, suffered an accident and fractured his hand on the sets of his next film in Kerala. However, he resumed shooting after the surgery. Sharing a picture, he wrote, “Last Wednesday on the sets of my new film I had a strange accident in Chennai. I fractured my right hand. Needed surgery to fix it! So a quick trip to Mumbai. Had surgery, all patched- up and cast. And now to resume work in Chennai. As they say… the show must go on! And as my father said… Mard ko dard nahi hota !

Okay, okay, it hurts a little.”

He concluded by thanking his fans for their well wishes. “Thank you all for your well wishes and speedy recovery messages,” he said.

On the professional front, Abhishek will next be seen in Bob Biswas opposite Chitrangada Singh. Directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh, the film is a spin-off of “Kahaani”, and is based on the fictional character of the same name who became popular in 2012 in Vidya Balan’s hit, “Kahaani”.

Abhishek will also be seen in the upcoming film “Dasvi” directed by Tusshar Jalota along with Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. Abhishek plays Gangaram Choudhary, while Yami plays Jyoti Deshwal, a uniformed police officer.
