Rajkumar Santoshi directorial Gandhi Godse: Ek Yudh is all set to hit the theaters on January 26. But even before its release, it got embroiled in controversies. Recently, a press conference was held in Mumbai, where Rajkumar Santoshi and some other crew members showed some unseen footage and dialogues from the film. Some of the protesters seated among the journalists disrupted the conference, chanting slogans in praise of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

The clip further shows how Rajkumar is least concerned about the protests and said that people continue to pass judgment on trivial matters. The Halla Bol director revealed that he was once called a Mahatma Gandhi supporter. The reason behind this opinion was that he was standing on the side of the poster where Gandhiji’s picture was printed. Similarly, Rajkumar said that he too was accused of being a Nathuram Godse supporter. The director said that he is not afraid of these protests and he will invite all the media people for lunch. He said that he would be very happy to know everyone’s ideologies and views.

Speaking about his upcoming film in a recent interview with E Times, Rajkumar Santoshi said that he loves the people of this country and their decision; And this film is made for him only. According to the filmmaker, Godse’s voice has been suppressed for 70 years. The director said that in his research he found that Godse never advocated violence. The filmmaker believes that it is important that Godse’s voice be heard. Rajkummar ended by saying that one should form his opinion only after watching the film and he has full faith in his work.
