Prostitution racket busted in Goa.  3 women including TV star were rescued

new Delhi: The Goa Crime Branch on Friday announced the arrest of a Hyderabad man and the release of three women, including a television star, after breaking a prostitution ring in Sangolda township near Panaji.

According to a crime branch news statement, two of the rescued women, including the TV star, are from Virar in Mumbai, while the third is from Hyderabad, news agency PTI reported.

“The crime branch had received information that a person named Hafiz Syed Bilal was involved in prostitution activities and accordingly a trap was laid,” the police was quoted as saying by PTI in its report.

“After confirmation of the information, the crime branch laid a trap during which the accused, who hails from Hyderabad, finalized a deal on payment of Rs 50,000 near a hotel in Sangolda village,” the release said.

The Crime Branch said that it arrested the 26-year-old accused on March 17 and during the operation, she was successful in rescuing three women, aged 30-37.

Prostitution ring busted in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden, minor girl rescued

Earlier on March 18, Delhi Police rescued a minor girl and arrested four touts, including two women, after busting a prostitution racket in the national capital’s Rajouri Garden area.

The rescued girl was sold by her kidnappers to a prostitute syndicate, who pushed the girl into prostitution. They have also supplied customers to various places, including 5-star hotels.

Police personnel involved in the raid have also recovered five mobile phones used in prostitution.
