Tirupati Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh has received a donation of Rs 9.2 crore. The woman’s family has given property documents worth Rs 6 crore along with a demand draft of Rs 3.2 crore. This donation has been given by a 76-year-old female devotee, who is no longer in this world. According to the information, Dr. Parvatham of Chennai had named his property in the name of the temple, who has passed away.

Amount allowed to become children’s hospital
Doctor Parvatham by profession was a great devotee of God. He had not married. She always wanted to hand over her property to the temple. She wanted to give her property to the children’s hospital being built in Tirupati. His sister Revathi Vishwanatham appealed to the chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) committee to give Rs 3.2 crore out of the donated amount to Children Super Specialty Hospital.

Millions of donations come every year
Tirupati Venkateswara Temple is a famous Hindu pilgrimage site. It is in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Every year lakhs of people come here to have darshan. The idol of Lord Venkateswara or Balaji (Lord Vishnu) is installed in the temple. Last year, a donation of Rs 833 crore came in this temple from January 1, 2021 to December 30, 2021. Out of this, 7235 kg gold is kept with 2 banks of the country and 1934 kg with gold trust. Every year around 1000-1200 crores of offerings come to this temple.
