The Supreme Court has stayed the promotion of 68 judges in Gujarat district courts, including the judge who convicted Rahul Gandhi in a criminal defamation case.
The petition regarding the promotion of district judges in Gujarat was filed despite the top court seizing the petitions challenging the respective merit list.
The matter will be listed for final hearing on August 8. CJI will do the final hearing
