Priyanka Gandhi to lead All Women’s March in Lucknow on Women’s Day; 1 lakh participants expected

Congress will take out a women’s march in Lucknow on Tuesday on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) president Ajay Kumar Lallu said, “Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will lead the march in which all women office-bearers of the party and others will take part.”

“The march will start from 1090 crossing and end at the statue of Uda Devi near the National Botanic Park,” he said.

The party has claimed that about one lakh women from all the districts will be seen on the streets of Lucknow.

“Along with Congress workers, women from other areas will also participate in the march. Lawyers, teachers, activists and actors are also likely to participate in this.”

The Congress spokesperson said the party’s ‘Girl Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon’ campaign is not limited to the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections only. The party will take forward this campaign of women empowerment.
