Priyanka Chopra is very happy for her cousin Parineeti Chopra, who got engaged to AAP leader Raghav Chadha in New Delhi on Saturday. Raghav and Parineeti announced their engagement by posting several pictures from the ceremony on their Instagram pages.

“Everything I prayed for.. she said yes!” wrote the 34-year-old Rajya Sabha MP. The ceremony, held at Kapurthala House in central Delhi, was attended by families, close friends and several political leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Parineeti’s cousin, film star Priyanka Chopra Jonas was also present at the ceremony.

Soon after the ceremony, Priyanka took to her Instagram account to congratulate the couple with a series of new pictures from the engagement. Priyanka wrote, “Congratulations Tisha and Raghav..can’t wait for the wedding. So happy for you both and the families. It’s so much fun catching up with the family!”

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha were rumored to be dating for a few months. They were spotted together on several occasions. However, they never confirmed their relationship news. Parineeti often used to shyly put forward the questions of marriage. Rumors of the AAP MP and Parineeti’s wedding started after they were spotted together in Mumbai in March. Both reached Delhi on Tuesday for the engagement.

Fashion designer Manish Malhotra, who reached the national capital in the morning, was seen dressed in a black and white kurta pajama teamed with a jacket for the ceremony. Manish apparently designed Parineeti and Raghav’s engagement dresses.

On the eve of their engagement, Parineeti Chopra’s house in Mumbai and Raghav Chadha’s official residence in Delhi were decorated with lights and flowers.
