All eyes are set on SS Rajamouli’s upcoming directorial after the blockbuster and universally loved RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR! Being referred to as SSMB29, this is the first time that the director and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu has come together for a film. As per Rajamouli, it’s a globe-trotting adventure film in the space of Indiana Jones and Dan Brown novels. And according to a report in Pinkvilla, SS Rajamouli and his team have chosen Prithviraj as the villain for their next. According to insiders, after discussions, Prithviraj has signed on to play the role opposite Mahesh Babu in the SS Rajamouli’s directorial. The character has a unique backstory and Prithviraj is excited for his first collaboration with both Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu.

“SS Rajamouli has been talking to Prithviraj for a while now and the duo have finally signed the dotted lines. Now, Prithviraj is all set to take on Mahesh Babu under the direction of SS Rajamouli,” revealed the source, adding, “It’s a well-written part, that has an arc of its own. The character has his own backstory justifying the actions, and Prithviraj is also excited for his first-ever collaboration with both SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu.”

SS Rajamouli plans to film in real jungles and studio sets, aiming to set a new visual standard for Indian cinema with unprecedented African jungle landscapes. “The film will be shot in real-life jungles as well as the studio set up. SS Rajamouli wants to scale up the bar for Indian Cinema by creating never-seen-before visuals on screen against the backdrop of African Jungles. He is also looking to redefine the conventional hero v/s villain conflict in his story, and that’s the factor which excited both Mahesh and Prithviraj,” the source added.
