Recently, the future king of the UK, Prince William was spotted riding an electric scooter around Windsor Castle, possibly to meet his father, King Charles.

The British Royal Family is renowned for leading a luxurious lifestyle, but Prince William recently showed a more down to earth side. Although he is the future king of Britain, he’s also just a fun-loving father at heart. Recently, the Prince was spotted grooving at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The latest glimpse shows him riding an electric scooter around Windsor Castle. In a video making the rounds on social media, the Prince of Wales is dressed casually in a blue sweater, white shirt, which he paired with black trousers and stylish sunglasses.

According to The Sun, William bought the £6,000 (approximately Rs 6 lakh) electric scooter to quickly travel from the family’s Adelaide Cottage to Windsor Castle to visit his father, King Charles. Interestingly, while these scooters are not allowed on public roads, they can be used on private property. Sharing the video, the X page wrote, “Prince William is definitely the COOLEST PRINCE EVER. Rocking up on an electric scooter, with his sunnies, on his way to a meeting. I LOVE IT.”

Reacting to the viral footage, a user wrote, “The Best Girl Dad, ever. Ask Taylor Swift and Princess Charlotte.”

Another shared, “My my my, this man, where can I get one.”

“That was unexpected. I bet George is still looking for it,” a comment read.

Another wrote, “Brilliant way to get about the castle precincts.”

An individual shared, “Coolest future King ever.”

One more added, “Wonder which of his kids is walking to school this morning.”

A source close to the Royal Family told the portal, “It just makes sense. He whizzes up to the castle when he needs to see the King. It’s a two or three-mile round trip from his family home at Adelaide Cottage to Windsor Castle, so it’s easier by scooter than car or walking.”

Prince William is a passionate motorhead, who earlier owned a Ducati bike worth £20,000 (approximately Rs 21 lakh). However, his hobby had left Kate Middleton concerned. While meeting residents in St. Andrews in Dundee, Kate had said, “It always fills me with horror when he goes out on it‎. I’m terrified. Hopefully, I’m going to keep George off it.” Since becoming the father of three children, Prince William decided to give rest to his hobby.
