Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Karnataka tour today – see his itinerary here

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Karnataka on Monday (June 20, 2022) on a two-day visit. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several rail and road infrastructure projects worth over Rs 27,000 crore. PM Modi will dedicate India’s first air-conditioned railway station in Bengaluru during his visit. He will also launch 150 technology hubs, and participate in the 8th International Day of Yoga celebrations in Mysore.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Bengaluru Cantt. and Yesvantpur Junction railway station will be developed at a cost of Rs 500 crore and Rs 375 crore respectively.

– On Monday at around 12:30 pm, the Prime Minister will visit the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, where he will inaugurate the Center for Brain Research (CBR) and lay the foundation stone of the Bagchi-Parthasarathy Multispecialty Hospital.

– Around 1:45 pm he will visit Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE), Bengaluru, where he will inaugurate the new campus of BASE University and unveil the statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar. He will also dedicate to the nation 150 ‘Technology Hubs’ that have been developed by transforming Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Karnataka.

– At around 2:45 pm, PM Modi will reach Kommaghatta in Bengaluru, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several rail and road infrastructure projects worth over Rs 27000 crore.

At around 5.30 pm, the Prime Minister will attend a public function at the Maharaja’s College Ground in Mysore where he will lay the foundation stone of the coaching terminal at Naganahalli railway station, which will be developed at a cost of over Rs 480. Ten million.

First day of PM Modi’s Karnataka tour

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of 832-bed Bagchi Parthasarathy Multispecialty Hospital. The hospital will be developed on the campus of IISc Bengaluru and will help integrate science, engineering and medicine into the prestigious institution.

In a step towards increasing mobility and increasing connectivity in Bengaluru, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP), which will connect Bengaluru city with its suburbs and satellite townships. The project, which is to be built at a cost of over Rs 15,700 crore, envisages 4 corridors with a total length of more than 148 km.

During the programme, the Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation India’s first air-conditioned railway station – Sir M Visvesvaraya Railway Station at Baiyappanahalli, which has been developed on the lines of a modern airport at a total cost of around Rs 315 crore.

He will also lay the foundation stone for two sections of the Bangalore Ring Road project. The project, to be developed at a cost of over Rs 2280 crore, will help in decongesting the traffic congestion in the city.

The coaching terminal will also have a MEMU shed and decongest the existing Mysore yard, facilitating more MEMU train services and running long distance trains from Mysore, thereby improving both connectivity and tourism potential of the region. This will benefit daily commuters as well as those traveling to long distance destinations.

During the programme, the Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation a ‘Center of Excellence for Persons with Communication Disorders’ at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH). It is well equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities for diagnosis, evaluation and rehabilitation of persons with communication disorders.

Second day of PM Modi’s Karnataka tour

On June 21, on the occasion of the eighth International Day of Yoga (IDY), PM Modi will participate in a mass yoga demonstration at the Mysore Palace grounds in Mysore along with thousands of participants at 6:30 am.

Integrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with the celebrations of the 8th IDY, Mysuru will witness Yoga demonstrations by the Prime Minister as well as mass Yoga demonstrations led by 75 Union Ministers at 75 prestigious locations across the country.

Yoga demonstrations will also be organized by various educational, social, political, cultural, religious, corporate and other civil society organizations and will be attended by crores of people across the country. The Prime Minister’s Yoga program in Mysore is also part of the novel program ‘Guardian Yoga Ring’, a collaborative exercise between 79 countries and United Nations organizations as well as Indian missions abroad that seeks to bring the unifying power of yoga across national borders.
